There are free "Open Seminars", "Paid Seminars" that require the purchase of a ticket, and a new project "Stall Bar".
All seminars are full of fascinating content that you can learn while tasting!

Open Seminar(Free/Japanese)・・・6 classes

The capacity has been increased to 90 people.
[Free participation fee] Seminars (40 minutes each). The content is easy to understand even for those new to whisky.

《Caution》
On the day of the event, our staff will visit customers who are lining up before the doors open. If you would like to take part, please let the staff know. [Numbered tickets] will be distributed.

In order to provide as many people as possible the opportunity to take the course, we will limit the course to one session per person.

All seminars are sure to be fully booked. Please join us!

✴After the venue opens, numbered tickets will be available at the information desk at booth No. 1.

◾️《Master class》・・・4 frames

This is a paid seminar with a standard of 60 minutes and 90 people, and is accepted by advance registration.

Since core fans will be attending and the duration is set to be longer at 60 minutes, the content will be deeper and more manic than an open seminar.

《Special Tasting Seminar》・・・2 frames

We will use a small room on the first floor of the venue instead of the second floor to hold a rare and special one-time seminar that cannot be held with a large number of people! This is also our first small group project, so please apply early!

“Stall Bar” class… 6 classes from 3 companies

New axis project from this time! As we watched the boom in whiskey festivals that were being revived or created all over the country after the coronavirus pandemic, we thought we should include something with a local flavor. What is the unique content that Fukuoka/Hakata should promote among the 47 prefectures?
That's a "stall"!
We actually set up food stalls at the venue. 16 people will be customers at the stall at a time.
This is a special project where you can talk with the old man at the stall or the guy/girlfriend who transforms into a mom! Stay tuned until the day of the event to see what comes out! There will be a total of 6 sessions, 2 sessions each (45 minutes each) by 3 participants.
This will also go on sale from [April 9th (Tuesday)].
Please do not miss it.

Talk Session/17:00〜17:50

The final part of the event will be a "Whisky Talk Session" (free of charge) by eleven people who are the faces of the whisky industry in Japan!
This so-called "panel discussion" will be held without tables in the seminar space, so everyone is welcome to attend.
This is the reason why Whisky Talk Fukuoka is called "Talk"!
Please do not miss it.

SEMINAR

There are two types of seminars: the free "Open Seminars" for whisky novices and aficionados alike.
The other is the "Special Tasting Seminar," which is a more in-depth, paid seminar.
Here are the details of the seminars.

Open Seminar(Free)

This "Open Seminar" will have 4 panels!

Staff will go around to the line of customers who are waiting in line for the opening of the venue at 11:30 on the day of the seminar and hand out numbered tickets.

Each person can attend only one session per person.

Each session is limited to 60 people, and each session lasts 30 minutes.

Please refer to the timetable for start and end times.

You may enter the seminar area (front center of the venue) 10 minutes prior to the start time.


Please note that if you do not enter the seminar area 5 minutes before the start time, your attendance rights will be transferred to those on the waiting list.

1981年栃木生まれ。帝国ホテルでバーテンダーとして勤務後、2008年にNY、2011年にスコットランドはスペインサイドのHighland inn(ハイランダーイン)でバーテンダーとして従事。アイラ島のブルックラディにてカスクマンとしてウイスキー造りにも携わる。
帰国後、(株)ベンチャーウイスキーにてブランドアンバサダーとして勤務。

『HOW TO TASTE !』

Capacity of 60 persons Numbered tickets are required to attend the class.

This tasting seminar by Robert Stockwell, aka Rob, is popular with both whisky novices and whisky enthusiasts.
Having worked at four malt whisky distilleries, he is fluent in Japanese and will introduce you to the fascinating world of single malt whisky in an entertaining and easy-to-understand seminar.

Lectuer:Robert Stockwell/MHD Single Malt Ambassador

He is a specialist in whisky production, having spent 10 years at Diageo and Glenmorangie, Scotland's most prolific distillers, learning all aspects of single malt production, including distilling, maturation, comparative tasting, and cask production. He is a member of "The Keepers of the Quaich", which consists only of individuals who have been recognized for their special contribution to the Scotch whisky industry.

『Suntory Whisky: 100 Years of History and New Challenges』

Capacity of 60 persons Numbered tickets are required to attend the class.

The 100-year history of Suntory Whisky, which began in 1923 with the great dream of its founder, Shinjiro Torii, and the new challenge for the next 100 years. We will introduce Suntory's new challenge to develop a world blended whisky "Ao", a blend of five major whiskies with rich individuality.

Lectuer:Taichi Sasaki/Master of Whisky

Born in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1971. After joining Suntory Limited in 1994, he became the company's first Whisky Ambassador, and in 2011 became the first person in Japan to be certified as a "Master of Whisky" by the Institute of Whisky Culture. He is active in a wide range of whisky seminars at distilleries and outside the company.

Kirin Fuji Gotemba Distillery makes whisky by making the most of nature's bounty. Fuji Gotemba Distillery, which makes whisky at the foot of Mt. Fuji, taking full advantage of the natural bounty of the area.

Lectuer:Robert Stockwell/MHD Single Malt Ambassador

Born in Kyoto, Japan in 1962, he joined Kirin Brewery in 1988, worked at a winery in Napa Valley in 1989, and then completed a master's degree at the University of California. 2002 - Bourbon production and product development at Fore-Roses Distillery in Kentucky. Since 2009, when he returned to Japan, he has been working as a blender at Kirin Brewery, where he received the Master Distiller/Master Blender of the Year award at the 2017 Icons of Whiskey (IOW) 2017.

『Attraction of Nikka's diverse grain whiskies』

In 2024, Nikka Whisky will celebrate its 90th anniversary. In the course of its long history, Nikka Whisky has continued to create a variety of challenging sake. In this issue, we would like to share with you the appeal of Nikka's various grains, including the grains that have made their mark on history and the grains that have been secretly brewed as a milestone.

Lectuer:Hiromi Ozaki/Nikka Whisky Chief Blender

He joined Nikka Whisky in 1988 and was in charge of sake production technology development and yeast breeding at the Production Technology Research Laboratory. He was transferred to Asahi Breweries in 1977, returned to Nikka Whisky in 2005, and was appointed as the head of the Blender Office in 2019. He has been the Chief Blender since 2021.

Kagoshima 3Distilleries "Kagoshima Spirit on Fire! Flaming Passion Seminar".
This seminar is a dream come true for the joint seminar by "Mars Tsunuki Distillery", "Yoshinosuke Komasa Distillery", and "Akayane Works", who supply original sake for Whisky Talk Fukuoka's PB series. We will approach the passionate spirit of Kagoshima, which is steadily advancing on the path of evolution day by day!

Lecturers:Tatsuro Kusano/Chief Whisky Producer, Mars Tsunuki Distillery

Completed the Shuchu Course, Graduate School of Agriculture, Kagoshima University in 2013. Joined Honbo Shuzo in the same year. In June 2016, he was transferred to Tsunuki Distillery, where he oversees the whiskey production.



Lecturers:Yoshitugu Komasa/President, Komasa Kanosuke Distillery

Born in Kagoshima in May 1978, Kanosuke graduated from the Graduate School of Tokyo University of Agriculture with a degree in Brewing in 2003. Joined Komasa Jozo the same year, established Kanasuke Distillery in 2017, and became Representative Director in 2018.



Lecturers:Akihito Nakahara/General Manager, Manufacturing Division, Akayane Works, Sata Soji Shoten

The company produces excellent craft spirits by exploring the possibilities of barrel aging using newly introduced European distillation equipment in addition to the shochu production techniques that have been cultivated since the company was founded in 1908.
